Audiences for Civic ReflectionWho is civic reflection for?Civic reflection can be useful to just about any group of civically engaged people who have something in common, whether that is a region or community, an organization, or a kind of service. To give just a few examples, they may be:
Each of these groups is a natural networka ready-made communityof people who have civic ties. They share a common geographical area (a neighborhood, city, region, state) or type of civic activity (giving, serving, associating, leading). They have occasion to see one another on a regular basis and likely opportunities to work together on behalf of a larger good. Finally, they are vital to the health of their own community, such that improved relationships and deeper moral imagination would make a contribution on a wider scale. What group of people in your world would you most like to bring into conversation, in order to deepen their civic imagination and build stronger bonds of understanding?
