Adam Davis is the Director of the Center for Civic Reflection. In his talk, "Imaginative Leadership," given to graduates of Leadership Washington County in Hagerstown, Maryland, Davis questions and discusses "good leadership" and "what makes leading good." As he says: "All men, we have been told since at least 1776, are created equal... How then, do you have leaders -- or how do you take on leadership roles -- without undermining [this] principle? How do you lead without diminishing others or unfairly elevating yourself?" In addition to speaking on this topic, Davis asks the Leadership Washington County graduates to think about leaders in their own lives, as well as to consider the qualities they look for their leaders to embody and the qualities they hope to embody as leaders.
