Meaning of Service Illinois Training—AmeriCorps Members and Staff

Summary

The Center for Civic Reflection, in collaboration with the Serve Illinois Commission and Illinois Humanities Council, is hosting a two-day Civic Reflection Facilitation Training for AmeriCorps members and staff. The training will give AmeriCorps program directors, staff, VISTAs and members hands-on training in facilitation, as well as a Facilitation Handbook and other related materials.

As a result of the training, participants will be able to conduct structured Meaning of Service discussions and help their fellow AmeriCorps members and staff to reflect on who, how, and why they serve, as well as to discuss the issues, questions and complexities that arise during their service.

Because of generous funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, there is no registration cost for this training! All meals and training materials will be covered at no cost. However, there are only 24 slots available for the training so if you're interested, please act quickly.

You can fill out a registration form here or contact Mike Stehlin at mstehlin@ipha.com if you have any questions or concerns.
