On September 21, 2012, the Center for Civic Reflection was invited to accompany over 20 ethnic museums and organizations, cultural centers, and historical societies at the 1st annual Chicago Cultural Expo. The expo was a day of education, community-building, and multicultural experience, aiming to promote public understanding of cultural diversity.

The day included dance, live music, cultural activities, and information booths. CCR staffed a booth at the event and engaged faculty and students from North Park University, community members, and others attending the expo in talking about the importance of reflection and cross-cultural dialogue. As a longtime partner of the Chicago Cultural Alliance (CCA), the group that sponsored this wonderful event, CCR was thrilled to attend, spread the word about civic reflection, and support CCA's work building community and celebrating cultural diversity.
